Abuot five year ago I called to talk to my Mom & Chuck answered ‘my step father’ He said just to let you know Sweety we had to put Ashley to sleep.
I started crying very hard. Ashley was a vishla. She was a very Friendly dog. Every time I would go to visit my mom , Chuck, & the Kids on a weekend, She would walk right up to me andlick me. I would pet her all the time. She would always sleep with me on the bed when I was at my moms.
Ashley was 12 when she dyed.

About 3 year ago Katie Dyed My Brother Ryan Was Close to her Like I was Ashley. It was just as hard for my Mom & Chuck with Katie as it was Ashley.
Ryan Took it real Hard When Katie Dyed because Katie was his dog. Katie was 11 when she dyed.
The loss of a dog is not any different than the loss of a human.
I lost 3 dogs this past year; I rescue and two of my rescues left me behind to cross rainbow bridge, the other was a cocker spaniel we got as a puppy.
Licos, my GSD rescue, I had to put down after a long battle with kidney failure. My Shadey, dropped dead in the back seat of my car as we were leaving the animal hospital after they did a procedure to her to remove fluid from around her belly. Sally, my cocker was full of cancer at the age of 14. We still have 3 dogs but the house seems empty. They wait for me across the bridge and I wait to see them again.
December 2007 I lost the Kate, best horse I think I have ever owned.. I went out to feed my three horses around 6:00 and I noticed that Kate wasn’t getting up when i put the food in her bucket.. When i ran out there to see her I immediately started crying because i knew something was wrong, because no matter what i did she wouldn’t get up.. I brought the food to her so she could at least eat.. Then i called my parents out and called the vet.. and wen the vet got there he told us that she would never walk again because her back went out.. He told us two different options and the only one that I saw wouldn’t make her suffer would be to put them down.. She was always a great horse.. When i started riding my younger horse Gypsey my friends would ride Kate.. She never acted bad.. Katie Girl died at the age of 27 on December 8, 2006..
We lost our beloved Sophie Wednesday of last week. She did not make it to celebrate Christmas with us. We adopted Sophie after fostering her for about 6 months. We fell in love with her and could not give her up. Sophie was beautiful; mostly black with 2 small white markings on her chest. She was a little overweight, she really loved eating and we figured there was more to love. Each morning, first thing, Sophie would sit by the water bowl and wait for me to run fresh water for her. I could do nothing else until Sophie was served. It is a wonderful memory to be awakened this way every day by my beautiful Sophie. Sophie had a congenital heart disease and nothing could be done. I love and miss my Sophie every day, 100 times a day. She was my friend, my companion, my entertainment. Sophie, I miss you so much. I cry every day and wish you were here. I love you Sophie and you are always in my heart and in my thoughts. SOPHIE, WE ALL LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU. IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF WE COULD MEET IN OUR DREAMS. I love you, I cannot say it enough times. May the spirits take care of you for me until we meet again, Sophie. ILYF.
